Grants to Arizona nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and schools for programs to support low- and moderate-income individuals and families in the areas of community development, education, and human services. Requests that help enhance a community’s quality of life through arts, culture, or civic projects will also be considered.

Areas of Funding:

Community Development:
The Foundation supports the improvement of low- and moderate-income communities through programs that
-Create and sustain affordable housing
-Promote economic development
-Provide job training and workforce development
-Revitalize and stabilize communities

Wells Fargo accepts requests for financial support of educational institutions, as well as for nonprofits whose primary focus is to help these institutions. The primary focus of grant requests should be to promote academic achievement for low and moderate-income students.

As part of its commitment to financial literacy Wells Fargo has developed Hands on Banking® , a comprehensive modular curriculum targeting students that range in age from grade 4 through senior citizens. The program has been designed and developed by professional educators and is suitable for either classroom use or self-study.

Human Services
The Foundation supports requests from social and human service organizations that work primarily in low- and moderate-income communities to
-Provide basic needs assistance
-Ensure access to health education programs and quality health care
-Offer child care services

Wells Fargo makes contributions to organizations with tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code, as well as to qualified tribal and governmental agencies, including public school systems.

Please note that Wells Fargo is unable to consider grants for the following:

-Start-up costs for new organizations
-Political action committees, candidates, causes, and lobbying
-Endowment campaigns
-Video or film production
-Promotional items
-Labor activities
-Travel, including students trips
-For-profit entities including small start-up businesses
-Youth sports teams and leagues

The Arizona Region accepts applications from January 1 to October 15. However, it is recommended that you submit as early in the year as possible.

Grant proposals are reviewed throughout the calendar year. You will typically be notified of a decision no later than 60 days after your fully completed application has been received.
