Funding for organizations that provide opportunities for youth participation in the following areas: Youth athletic programs - Community-based programs addressing active lifestyle and team building skills; Camps - Established camps with an emphasis on sports and active lifestyle, especially programs serving disadvantaged and special needs kids.

Two current large scale funding opportunities:

The Founder's Grants: awarded to qualifying organizations that have an emergency need that is somehow keeping the organization from providing current services. Examples would be natural disasters or sudden and unexpected changes in other funding.

The Legacy Grants: awarded to qualifying organizations in need of improvements and/or renovations to existing buildings, grounds, and property or for new facilities and/or grounds.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The foundation is particularly interested in: Organizations providing opportunities for participation for children and young adults age 18 and under; Organizations whose activities provide direct services to individuals and produce tangible results, rather than those that are policy oriented; The potential impact of the program/project and the number of people who will benefit; The organization's fiscal responsibility and management qualifications; The ability of an organization to obtain the necessary additional funding to implement a program or project and to provide ongoing funding after the term of the grant has expired; Programs operating near Finish Line stores.

Once your organization is found to be eligible to receive FLYF funds, you will need to provide the following information:

Cover Letter - Identifies project title, organization contact information, project duration, total dollar amount requested.

Abstract/Need Statement - An in-depth description of the project/funding need and stated objectives - specific statements of anticipated project outcomes, should be measurable, and directly related to project evaluation, budget and the project\'s sustainability. Also include a description of existing facilities so that comparison of final project to existing conditions can be made.

Summary of Funds Raised - Description of fund raising efforts and amounts already pledged/received to date.

Budget Narrative - An in-depth explanation of the financial plan for proposed project.
