Grants awarded to help bridge the connection between diet and health. Grants may be used for: relevant nutritional research; to assist in the training of educators and demonstrators of good nutritional practices; to encourage the dissemination of information regarding healthful nutritional practices and habits; programs for the education and training of pregnant women pre/post birth.
In limited situations, grants may be awarded to help solve immediate emergency hunger and malnutrition problems.

In order to be considered for an Allen Foundation grant, you must be a non-profit organization and be able to provide a copy of your Internal Revenue Service certification of 501(c) 3 tax-exempt status. If applying from outside the United States, you must be able to document or confirm that you have your country's counterpart or equivalent of the 501(c)(3) form.
