Grants ranging between $500,000 and $1,000,000 are being offered to identify and correct significant housing-related health and safety hazards in low-income housing. This funding source is interested in funding projects that integrate healthy homes principles and practices into existing housing rehabilitation, property maintenance, weatherization, energy improvement, and other housing improvement programs.
It is important for grantees to incorporate meaningful community participation, including from community-based foundations, to the greatest extent possible, in the development and implementation of programs that are conducted in communities and/or involve significant communication with residents.
