A matching grants program up to $2,000 is available to nonprofit organizations for promoting environmentally friendly landscaping projects on public or public use land in Brevard County. Funding is open to registered private nonprofit organizations interested in beautifying public areas in Brevard County.

Qualified applicants are limited to legal, private non-profit organizations. Eligible organizations include civic organizations, garden clubs, PTO’s, PTA’s, sport leagues, scouting groups, etc.
Non-eligible organizations include private for profit organizations and public agencies.
Tuesday, October 12, 2010: A grants workshop will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Agriculture Center, 3695 Lake Dr., Cocoa. The workshop will provide guidance on the use of native plants and the application process.
Applicants are strongly urged to attend the workshop.

Funds must be matched on a minimum of 50/50 basis and are reimbursable upon completion of the job. In-kind services and/or materials may be considered as an application\'s match. Grants will be awarded February 1, 2011, and projects must be completed by April 15, 2011.
