Grants ranging between $50,000 - $500,000 for efforts to make changes in health reform, the criminal and juvenile justice system, and workers' rights. Supports health reform initiatives that foster strong consumer advocacy organizations, with an emphasis on including organizations led by populations affected by disparities. Provides funding for criminal and juveline justice organizations with strategies to lower rates of incarceration and decrease prison populations by aiming to change specific laws, policies or agency regulations. The Workers' Rights Program supports organizations trying to improve the lives of working people, particularly those vulnerable by exploitation. Proposals should include strategies to ensure their basic legal rights to safe, healthy and fair conditions at work.
