Grants are being offered to Texas public school libraries to purchase literacy materials and modernize literacy resources. Funds must be used to purchase literacy materials for use in the school’s library. Literacy materials include but are not limited to books, audio books, computer software, magazine/serial publication subscriptions, online databases, etc.

The Foundation gives preference to schools in which at least 50 percent of the students are eligible to receive free or reduced-price lunches.

Applicants must apply on behalf of a public school library in the state of Texas.

Only one application per school is allowed per year.

Applications must be postmarked by deadline, if mailed or received by midnight the same day if faxed.
