Grants to increase child mental health awareness in Houston and Harris Counties, Texas. The overall goal of the foundation is to improve mental health for Texans by providing services and influencing public policy. Funds through this grant are available to increase awareness of mental health for childcare providers. These individuals might include pediatricians, day care and after-school care workers, members of local faith-based organizations, school personnel and others. Organizations who have a proven track record with successful mental health education are eligible to apply.

The foundation will host an informational teleconference for potential respondents from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. central time on Tuesday, March 1, 2011. Advance registration is required online. Register now.
Registration deadline for the teleconference is February 25, 2011. Dial-in instructions for the teleconference will be provided to those who register in advance. Organizations with multiple participants in the teleconference are encouraged to register for the call using one phone line for all participants.
Qualified applicants will be invited to submit a full request.
