Grants to promote adult education in Texas. The goal of the grant is to develop and implement adult education systems that facilitate job opportunities. Programs must be designed for accelerated completion and must align the curriculum with career pathways. Educational instruction should be appropriate for under-served low income populations.

Responsibilities of awarded applicants include, facilitating communication and coordinated activities between educational institutions and employers, designing a system of accreditation that is accepted in the workforce, and creation of flexible programming to meet the needs of the adult population. Organizations will be asked to assess and analyze the success of their programs and will need to implement changes to existing researched based programs. Applicants are required to attend several conferences.
