Grants up to $10,000 to enable smaller, well-established, nonprofit organizations to invest in organizational development activities and initiatives. These grants are especially intended to support the engagement of qualified outside consulting expertise in the following areas: strategic planning, fund development and sustainability, financial management systems improvement, program evaluation, IT assessment, board development, executive coaching, and succession planning.

Proposals should be sure to include previous organizational development initiatives and why now is the right time for this initiative. Organizations should also be able to describe the current organizational condition(s) that will be changed and/or improved, as well as what success in this effort will look like.

  • Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Non-profit organizations that carry out their work principally in metropolitan Baltimore, primarily Baltimore City, are eligible to apply. Applicants should also be members of the Maryland Association of Nonprofit Organizations.

Preference will be given to those organizations whose programs fit within the Foundation’s published areas of interest and grant making policies which can be found at www.goldsekerfoundation.org.

Pre-Application Information:

Organizations must call the Foundation’s Program Officer, Laurie Latuda (phone: 410-837-6115), to briefly discuss the organization\'s general eligibility for grant consideration and to receive approval of the proposal before submitting an application.

Applications that arrive without prior approval to submit will not be considered.
