Grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 to fund organizations that provide support services and programs for children with disabilities as well as their families. The purpose of these grants is to enable children with disabilities to live healthy and happy lives by supporting organizations that provide equal access to social, medical, educational, and therapeutic services.

Funding will be provided for the following services or programs:
(A) Early intervention programs, including therapeutic and support services designed to meet the needs of infants and toddlers who have a developmental delay or disability;
(B) Parental support and education programs that educate, prepare, and assist parents in the care giving and support of their children;
(C) Assistive technology programs that provide access to equipment or training on assistive technologies which help children learn, communicate, and thrive; and
(D) Programs that support the development of social skills and/or independent living skills, including camp programs.

Priority for funding will be given to organizations that demonstrate that will use funding to:
• Expand or enhance an existing program with proven success,
• Develop innovative, new approaches that produce positive outcomes for children with disabilities, or
• Support one-time capital needs.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The CVS Caremark Charitable Trust will consider only one application per organization in each calendar year. However, previous grantees may eligible to apply again if they can demonstrate significant positive outcomes and a plan to build on those outcomes.

CVS Caremark Charitable Trust is not able to provide grants to organizations that are classified by the IRS as a 509(a)(3) organization.
