Grants for up to $3,500 to help the homeless in Kansas City. The overall goal of the Foundation is to build a vibrant community and provide a higher quality of life for all residents of the city and its metropolitan area. The purpose of the funding available through this RFP is to support efforts of non-profits working towards the goal of alleviating the burdens of the homeless.
Grant funds may be spent for any of the following activities:
Obtaining and/or reproducing clients' personal identification documents
Obtaining work-specific clothing
Commercial storage for clients' personal possessions
Obtaining emergency medicines for clients
Obtaining prescription eyeglasses, contact lenses or other durable medical equipment for clients
Other emergency assistance needs of clients (excluding rent, mortgage and utility deposits and payments; home repair expenses; and normal agency operating costs)

Applicant must have primary office in Jackson County, Missouri or Kansas City, Missouri.

Applicant must be a dues-paying member of the Homeless Services Coalition of Greater Kansas City. You can download the Membership Application from the Homeless Services Center web site at www.hscgkc.org. For more information, contact Vickie Riddle at 816-924-7997.
All proposals must be submitted online by 5:00 p.m. CDT on the due date via the internet grant application module (IGAM). Applicants will be required to open an account with IGAM.
