The Washington AIDS Partnership
Grants for up to $90,000 for services and prevention of HIV in Washington D.C. The overall goal of the funding agency is to support efforts to prevent the spread of HIV and to provide support to people suffering from it. The purpose of the available funding is to support programs that address issues pertaining to AIDS in one of the following categories: prevention, public policy, medical morale and technical assistance.
Goals include reducing HIV disparities and new infections by targeting prevention for high risk populations and geographic areas where HIV is concentrated, and through effective, evidence-based approaches; public policy efforts designed to improve the quality of, access to, or availability of HIV/AIDS services or prevention; improve the morale of hospital personnel, community-based clinic personnel, and staff of nonprofits that have at least one practicing doctor or nurse on staff, with a special emphasis on the human and organizational factors affecting the morale of care-giving employees and strengthening organizations' capacity to deliver quality services and/or advocate for people living with or at risk for HIV/AIDS.
