Grants for either $25,000 or $50,000 for schools across the US in order to improve and expand certain areas of the curriculum. The purpose of this grant is to provide schools the opportunity to advance in three unique ways: in play, creativity, and exploring. The \"play\" category will help kids thrive outside the classroom through funding projects like building playgrounds, and establishing sports and exercise-focused programs. The \"create\" category will help kids thrive through arts-focused programs and resources. This could be anything from an after-school music program to a new photography darkroom or a theater group. Finally, the \"exploring\" category will help kids thrive through enriching their academic opportunities, such as establishing a science club, enhancing a school's computer lab, or building a peer tutoring program.
Four grants will be awarded to the schools that receive the most nominations from individuals 18 and older, in addition to another grant which will be awarded by a judge to a well-rounded program expected to make a great impact on a School. The school that comes in first place will receive $50,000, and the four other schools will receive $25,000.
