Grants of up to $10,000 are available for Minnesota non-profits, school districts, and government agencies to strengthen or expand their existing home visits program. Programs must benefit families with young children located in the 20 Southern Minnesota counties. Visitation programs should be focused on ensuring that children and their families are safe, healthy, self-sufficient, and connected to community resources. In particular, organizations should be interested in building their capacity by adding or enhancing any of the 12 Essential Elements from the Prevent Child Abuse America’s Healthy Family America Program. Collaboration with other home visiting or early childhood programs is required.
Eligible expenses may include salaries, evaluation, training, and technical assistance.

Applicant must have an existing home visiting program
Applicant must collaborate with other home visiting or early childhood programs and intend to expand or strengthen partnerships.
Dollar-for-dollar match. At least 25% of the match must be cash.
