Grants are available for non-profit organizations in Missouri for programs and projects that focus on health-related services. The goal of the funding is to benefit the underserved and under-insured populations by providing them with needed health-related services. Funds can only be used for general operating expenses, including existing salaries and benefits, equipment and supplies. Funds cannot be used to develop new programs.

Organizations that are ineligible for Basic Support are those who primarily provide services such as: advocacy, after-school programs, child day care, employment assistance, financial/housing assistance, financial counseling, fund raising, independent living, non-health related long-term housing/shelter, mentoring, recreational camping, or tutoring.

For eligible organizations, MFH will determine the grant award amount based on two criteria:
1. applicant organization’s size in dollars; and
2. available funding in the Basic Support program.

The amount of the grant is determined as follows:

Annual Expenses Range of Award (Annual)
$5 Million or Less: $37,500 - $50,000
