Non-profit organizations located in a selected area of Iowa are eligible to apply for funding for a variety of programs that upgrade the quality of life for community residents. The Foundation seeks to specifically benefit the rural areas of the county. Listed below are seven main areas of focus that will be considered for funding:

* Arts & Culture
* Community Affairs and Development
* Education
* Health
* Human Services
* Historic Preservation
* Environmental Education and Protection

Eligible applicants include:
1. Most churches (for community services/activities)
2. Government entities (for charitable civic activities)
3. Most economic development organizations (for marketing & education)
4. Schools and service clubs (for charitable civic projects)
