A fellowship grant totaling $90,000 is being awarded to a senior scholar for humanities research in the U.S. The grant is provided to help a scholar seeking a permanent teaching and research position to immigrate to the United States so that he/she can conduct research in the field of humanities. Research areas include, but are not limited to: Jewish, Russian, East European, American and Germanic studies, as well as musicology, linguistics, anthropology, sociology and history. Applications are welcome from foreign senior scholars in any field who have completed a Ph.D. more than six years prior to the start of the fellowship and whose research will benefit substantially from consultation of materials housed at the Center and partner organizations. Preference will be given to candidates from Eastern Europe and the former Soviet Union.

The fellowship carries a stipend of $75,000 as well as a relocation stipend of up to $15,000. The scholar will be expected expected to conduct original research at the Center, deliver two lectures based on the research conducted and actively participate in the scholarly community at the Center.
