Grants for up to $2,500 to promote environment conservation and improvement in the U.S.A. The purpose of the available funding is to support environmental projects undertaken by non-profit organizations and public entities, in partnership with the funding agency's employees and retirees. Projects eligible for grant awards must result in tangible improvement in the environmental condition of the community and have sustainable project benefits.
- Conservation of natural resources and raw materials
- Restoration or development of ecological habitats
- Rebuilding of communities in an effort to help with the environmental restoration of habitats after a natural disaster (i.e. tornado, hurricane, flood, earthquake, wildfire, etc.)
Other eligible projects include those that improve the environment in the following categories:
Water (creating water/rain gardens)
Land (habitat restoration, planting native species)
Renewable energy (efficient design of buildings, energy efficient windows, light bulbs, “green projects”)
