Grants of up to $5,000 to South Carolina nonprofit agencies and organizations for programs to help seniors stay in their homes and avoid institutionalization. Funding is intended to support innovative programs that allow older adults to age with maximum dignity and independence. Examples of eligible programs include education programs, respite, and recreational programs.

Funding is for a one-year seed grant. Continued funding for second year may be available depending on funding and satisfactory outcomes.

Pre-proposal Conference:

The SC Department on Office on Aging will host a Grant Solicitation Workshop at 10 AM on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, at 1301 Gervais Street, Columbia, SC.

The workshop will provide potential applicants with valuable information about the grant, the application process, due dates, and funding opportunities. It is highly recommended that all potential applicants attend the workshop.

Pre-Application Information:

The original plus nine (9) copies are due to the office no later than October 18, 2019 at 4:00 pm. Faxes will not be accepted.
