The Community Foundation of East Mississippi
Non-profit organizations, schools, libraries, and museums located in selected areas of the State of Mississippi are eligible to apply for grants for programs and projects that encourage youth to participate in arts-based programs in the summer. The Foundation seeks to support activities that enable youth to use art as a means of self development.
The 2012 Summer Arts Initiative offers quick response, small-scaled grants to organizations working to engage youth in hands-on artistic programming during the summer months. Organizations that encourage youth to express themselves through diverse artistic mediums, including drama, music, painting, sculpting, photography, writing, etc. are encouraged to apply. The Foundation supports projects in East Mississippi including the counties of Clarke, Kemper, Lauderdale, Newton and Neshoba.
