Grants of up to $1,500 to Minnesota schools, nonprofit groups, and arts organizations, and scholarships of $250 to individuals to support the arts in an eligible region. Eligible uses of grant funds include: production of arts events or workshops, sponsorships of artists in residence, or development of arts organizations. Scholarship funds can be applied toward lessons, training, and instrument rentals for young people to study violin, viola, cello, or bass. Recipients must be located in the Bemidji Area.

The Arts Project should reflect one or more of the Foundation's core values including activities that enrich people’s lives through the arts; encourage the active presence of the arts in our community; use of the arts to transcend barriers; increase the positive economic impact of the arts in the community; increase access to the arts; contribute to building mutual respect for each other and our community through the arts; help us understand our diverse cultures and heritage; and encourage the aesthetic development of our community.

Scholarship Eligibility:
-Youth ages 8-15 to study violin, viola, cello or bass.
