Grants ranging from $500 to $4,000 are available to local non-profit organizations located in selected states across America that provide: programs that keep older dogs with families struggling to keep them, medical care to increase the potential for senior dogs to be adopted, hospice, senior-for-senior adoption, and other programs focused on helping senior dogs. Proposals must demonstrate innovative ideas for benefiting senior dogs.

Funding will provide for programs in the following ways:
1. Assisting shelters with a goal of increasing adoptions of senior dogs.
2. Assisting shelters, rescues, and other non-profit organizations in their efforts to help senior dogs in certain geographic regions of the country. In particular, the Grey Muzzle Organization is interested in:
Midwest/West (especially CO, KS, NE, OK, UT, WI, WY)
South/Southeast (especially FL, GA, KY, LA, MS, SC, TN)
Manhattan area of NY
Los Angeles area of CA
3. Continued support for the organizations that Grey Muzzle is currently funding.
