A grant of $785,000 will be awarded in Nevada to a non-profit public or private entity to establish and operate voluntary family planning services projects. Family planning services include clinical family planning and related preventive health services; information, education, and counseling related to family planning; and, referral services as indicated. Services must be available to all who desire, with priority for persons from low-income families. Fees must never serve as a barrier to persons requesting services.

Any public or private nonprofit entity located in Nevada - Washoe County. Even where the state applies for a family planning services grant, local and regional entities may also apply directly to the Secretary for a family planning services grant under this announcement. Faith-based organizations and American Indian/Alaska Native/Native American (AI/AN/NA) organizations are eligible to apply for Title X family planning services grants. Private nonprofit entities must provide proof of nonprofit status.
-A Dun and Bradstreet Universal Numbering System (DUNS) number is required for all applications for Federal assistance.
-There is no fixed cost-sharing percentage or amount for this grant.
However, projects must include financial support from sources other than Title X.
-Project must start 6/30/2012.
