Two grants of $5,000 will be awarded to non-profit organizations in Louisiana for projects that further the general well being of women and the healthy development of children. The foundation also intends to award 22 grants with specified amounts of $1,000, $2,500, $5,000, or $10,000 for short term projects in addition to providing four to ten trained volunteers to plan, assist in planning, and/or to staff a project in the same focus area. The Foundation seeks organizations with commitment to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving the community through the effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
