Matching grants of NIS 40,000 to 200,000 are being awarded to active Israeli Jewish renewal organizations. Funding will be provided to organizations with diverse, ongoing educational programs that offer participants a rich Israeli Jewish experience and an opportunity to acquaint themselves with Jewish subjects, or organizations that offer online infrastructure that supports such educational endeavors. Programming should introduce participants to content that reflects the variety, breadth, and scope of Israeli Jewish creativity over the generations, and have an educational and administrative staff with diverse worldviews and approaches to Jewish tradition.
The program gives Israeli donors the opportunity to participate in furthering Jewish activities, and to leverage their donations in order to empower Jewish renewal organizations in Israel. The matching grants are open to new Israeli donors who make a first-time donation of 40,000 Shekel or more to Jewish renewal in Israel and to Israeli donors who have already contributed to an organization involved in Jewish renewal in Israel and are at least doubling their largest previous donation in the field. The goal of the funding is to create an open, ethical, and respectful Israeli Jewish society. Pseifas will not support research, symposia or conferences, scholarships, advertising campaigns, special events, or onetime performances.
Preference for matching grants will be distributed to:
* Organizations whose annual budgets do not exceed NIS 12,000,000
* Organizations with experience in running educational programs in Jewish renewal
* Organizations with a proven ability to implement proposed programs
* Stable organizations
* Programs that target agents of change or children, teenagers, young adults, or adults ages 25 to 50, and regional (cities and towns) initiatives
* Yearlong educational programs
* The preference of Israeli donors who live in Israel
