Grants to Michigan, Arizona and California nonprofit organizations in eligible areas for educational, environmental, and vehicle safety programs. Eligible regions include Gardena, California, Maricopa County, Arizona, and Washtenaw County, Michigan. Programs in other focus areas will also be considered, including leadership development, health and human services, civic and community, and arts and culture.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Applying organizations must be recognized as 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service.

TTC does not make grants for publications, lobbying activities, advertising, capital campaigns or endowments. Individuals are ineligible to apply. Toyota will not make grants to the following types of organizations/activities:

Toyota will not make grants to the following types of organizations:
- Organizations not recognized as 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service
- Organizations that discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, ancestry, age, religion, disability, medical condition, sex or gender (including pregnancy), gender identity and/or expression (including a transgender identity), sexual orientation, marital status, military or veteran status, or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local law.
- Organizations that serve only their own memberships, such as fraternal organizations, labor organizations, or religious groups
- Political parties or candidates
- Athletic/sports games and teams

Pre-Application Information:

2018 Application Deadlines:
- Apply by March 1 for notification in May.
- Apply by June 1 for notification in August.
- Apply by September 1 for notification in November.
- Apply by December 1, 2018 for notification in February 2019.

It can take up to 6 months to review and evaluate a proposal. Toyota will advise you by email if your proposal has been approved or declined. Please do not contact Toyota by phone or by email to ask about the status of your application. Due to the volume of inquiries, Toyota cannot respond individually to requests for status.
