Grants between $500 to $5,000 will be awarded in Rhode Island to teachers, support personnel, parents, students or community groups for unique projects or special services designed to have a significant impact on the educational process in the Charlestown area.

Two categories of grants are being offered. The smaller grant is for innovative educational ideas or special services that applicants desire to test or utilize in any portion of the Chariho regional school system. The larger grant is specifically to impact academic performance as well as be "in-kind support" for outside grants that the School District is seeking for very special projects.

Smaller grants - CCIP Grants cannot be used to fund salaries, stipends, political activities, or capital equipment such as furniture and fixtures or computer systems.
Larger grants - CCSP Grants cannot be used to fund salaries, stipends, transportation, or political activities.
