Grants to New York nonprofit organizations for projects and programs that benefit residents in eligible communities. Funding areas of interest include community arts and theater, education, sports and recreation, health and safety, and community historical sites. Preference will be given to applications that leverage grant funding to achieve maximum benefit. Eligible activities should provide tangible benefits of a public nature to the community and residents of the Town of Malta. Use of funds directly in Malta is favored; however, any use of funds with demonstrable benefits to the community and citizens of Malta will be considered.
Applications will be accepted only from not-for-profit entities.
Organizations based in Malta are strongly encouraged to apply; however, applications are welcome from any qualifying organization intent on contributing to the mission and meeting the criteria.

Funds should not be used to supplant funding already in place.
Pre-Application Information
The 2023 Grant Application Period is September 6, 2023 - October 31, 2023
Grants will be announced and awarded in December 2023. Recipients will be invited to an award ceremony that will be held virtually or at the David R. Meager Malta Community Center.
Grant applications that include a guarantee matching funds from the applicant may increase the chance of approval.
Emailed applications will no longer be accepted.
Term of Contract
Recipients agree to use all grant funds for approved purposes no later than one year after date of award.
Work must commence within six months.
