Request a Grant Writer

Grants of $100,000 will be awarded in Los Angeles, California to Jewish organizations for the construction of new facilities, renovations, and upgrades to existing facilities that predominantly serve members of the Los Angeles Jewish community. Proposals should substantiate the community need and demonstrate both board and community support. Applicants should present evidence of their fiscal ability to cover the associated operational and program costs.

Not funded:
Routine building repairs or equipment purchase.
Projects in hiatus resulting from inadequate fundraising.

Completion of the requested portion of the project within a 2-year period from the date of grant award (to March 31, 2015).

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

-Organizations with a construction or renovation project for a facility that predominantly serves members of the Los Angeles Jewish community.
-Organizations must have a board-approved fundraising plan designed to ensure project completion.

Pre-Application Information:

-Organizations can submit requests for applications that include a brief description of your organization and capital project to Naomi Strongin: nstrongin@jewishfoundationla.org. If eligible, the organziation will receive an application form.

-Eligible applicants will be invited to attend a hearing with the Capital Grants Committee in January 2013.

-Grant awards will be announced in Febraury 2013.
