Grants to USA nonprofits in multiple states for programs that foster cultural understanding and awareness in communities where the funding source has a business presence. Funding is intended to support educational programs that foster greater respect and understanding among the groups of people living in eligible communities.

Eligible applicants must serve communities surrounding Nissan's affiliate locations:
- Southern California
- Middle Tennessee
- Central Mississippi
- North Central Texas
- Eastern Michigan
- New York
- Atlanta Metro area

In addition, all projects must meet the following criteria:

- Reflect the mission and core values of the Foundation
- Demonstrate creative and replicable solutions
- Establish clear methodology for measuring results

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

All organizations applying for grants through the Nissan Foundation must meet the following requirements:
- Have 501(c)(3) nonprofit status
- Demonstrate experience with populations served
- Have been in existence for more than three years
- Serve communities surrounding Nissan's affiliate locations.

Pre-Application Information:

Call for 2019 Grant Applicants:
The Nissan Foundation is accepting letters of intent for the 2019 grant cycle, with a submission deadline of Friday, November 16, 2018.

How to Apply:
Potential grantees may submit Letters of Intent (LOI). In January 2019, the Nissan Foundation will accept proposals from organizations that have previously submitted an LOI and that have been invited to submit a proposal.
