Foundation / Corporation
The Clowes Fund
Grants ranging from $10,000 to $50,000 are available to USA non-profit organizations for programs and projects that focus on art education, primary and secondary education, and social services that focus primarily on socio-economically disadvantaged individuals. Within social services (relevant in Indiana and New England), there are three areas of interest: workforce development, youth development, and services for immigrants, refugees, and asylees.
Funding is concentrated in three regions, and priorities vary among them. In Marion County and the seven contiguous counties in Indianapolis, Indiana, priority will be given to those proposals that focus on social services and primary and secondary education. In the greater Boston area, and for parts of southern Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine focus is placed upon social services, education, and arts education. In Seattle, Washington, priority is given to arts education, especially music education.
Grant money may be used for capital funding, capacity building, operating support, or seed money.
