Grants are available in multiple States to non-profit organizations for programs and projects that benefit residents. The areas of focus are: Civic and Community Development, Arts and Culture, Environment and Conservation, and Youth and Education.

The focus area of civic and community development responds to the needs of those living in poverty, and also places a strong emphasis on working to address the causes of those problems: affordable housing, work readiness, crisis assistance, and hunger relief. The focus area of enviornment and conservation provides opportunities for youth from all walks of life to experience and appreciate the natural environment. The focus area of youth and education is intended to help youth excel in school, engage in communities, and develop leadership and life skills.

Sports/athletic programs and facilities
Fundraising events/sponsorship

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

To qualify for a grant from the Ecolab Foundation, a 501 (c) 3 organization must fall within one of the Areas of Focus and deliver services in the St. Paul, MN area where the corporate office is located, or in one of the communities listed below:
Beloit, WI
City of Industry, CA
Elk Grove Village, IL
Garland, TX
Grand Forks, ND
Greensboro, NC
Huntington, IN
Joliet, IL
Martinsburg, WV
McDonough, GA

-Sectarian/denominational religious organizations, except where funds are to be used in direct interest of the entire community
-Political/lobbying organizations
-Disease and health related organizations
