Grants of $500 will be awarded in select cities and counties of North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and Arizona to K-12 Title I public schools to help fund transportation for educational field trips. Field trips eligible for consideration include visits to art, science, and cultural museums, community service or civic projects, career enrichment opportunities, or other defined educational events or experiences away from school.
Preference will be given to field trips that align with US Airways' core business values to increase student literacy, science, technology, engineering, and math education as a key priority. Grant monies are to be utilized for field trip transportation costs only, such as buses, vans, or gas.

Funds must be used within one year of receipt.
-Applicants may be teachers, school administrators, club advisors, parent volunteers/PTA officials at a public school located within the US Airways corporate giving geographic parameters of the airline’s hub and focus cities of Charlotte (Mecklenburg County), Philadelphia (Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Montgomery, and Philadelphia Counties), Phoenix (Maricopa County), and Washington, D.C. (Alexandria, Arlington, District of Columbia, Fairfax-Falls Church, Loudoun, Montgomery, Prince George’s, and Prince William Counties).
-School must have a minimum 70% Title I population defined as the population of students who qualify for free or reduced price meals as determined by the State Board of Education.
-Preference is given to schools in which children of US Airways employees are students.
