Grants to Texas nonprofit organizations and governmental entities in eligible locations for urgent and short-term needs. Eligible uses of funds include unexpected budgetary expenses, equipment, capital improvements, training or education including travel expenses, and programs to promote volunteerism. Programs must serve the residents Crosby, Floyd, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, and Terry counties

Estimated Total Program Funding:

$5,000

Estimated Size of Grant:

There is no minimum or maximum request. However, the average amount awarded to an agency is approximately $1,500.

Term of Contract:

Approved expenses must have been incurred between March 2, 2020 and October 1, 2020.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Proof of one of the following must be submitted with the application:
a. 501(c)(3) IRS status
b. Application for 501(c)(3) status
c. Umbrella 501(c)(3) status, or
d. Governmental entity status

Agencies must have a local community-based board.

Requests shall not be considered for:
a. Fundraising drives
b. Capital campaigns
c. Political campaigns
d. Religious projects
e. Individuals

The proposed request should not require direct participation from JLL members.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications for the Fall 2020 cycle must be received by October 9, 2020. The Fall Community Assistance Grant monies will be awarded on or before November 15, 2020.

No agency will be considered for funding if Community Assistance Grant funds have been received in the twelve (12) months prior to the submission deadline.
