Junior League of Lubbock (JLL)
Grants totaling $5,000 to Texas nonprofits and governmental entities in the Lubbock region for short-term and emergency needs. Priority is given to emergency needs, with funding also available for capital improvements, equipment, training or education including travel expenses, programs to promote volunteerism, and unexpected budgetary expenses.
Nonprofits from the counties of Crosby, Floyd, Garza, Hale, Hockley, Lamb, Lubbock, Lynn, and Terry may apply.

There is no minimum or maximum request. However, the average amount awarded to an agency is approximately $1,500.
Approved expenses must have been incurred between October 1, 2018 and April 1, 2019.
Proof of one of the following must be submitted with the application:
a. 501(c)(3) IRS status
b. Application for 501(c)(3) status
c. Umbrella 501(c)(3) status, or
d. Governmental entity status
Agencies must have a local community-based board.
Requests shall not be considered for: fundraising drives, capital campaigns, political campaigns, religious projects, or individuals.
The proposed request should not require direct participation from JLL members.
Applications for the spring cycle must be received by April 1, 2019. The spring Community Assistance Grant monies will be awarded on or before May 15, 2019.
