Grants of up to $2,500 to Pennsylvania nonprofit organizations in eligible locations to serve local children with developmental delays and disabilities. Funding is intended to support programs, projects, and services. Eligible activities must serve children who reside in Lancaster County.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The applicant organization must be a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as determined by the IRS.

The funds from this grant cannot be used for specifically religious purposes, such as religious instruction and proselytizing

Pre-Application Information:

The completed grant application and accompanying materials are due Friday, May 20, 2022, by 4:00 P.M.

Applications are typically available in March of each year. Then the Board of Directors review the applications received and select recipients. Grant recipients are typically notified in July of the same year that the application is submitted.

All applicants will be notified of the S. June Smith Foundation’s award decisions by June 24, 2022.

Funds will be disbursed to successful applicants in July 2022, unless otherwise arranged.

Estimated Size of Grant:

Grant awards range between $250 and $2,500.

Term of Contract:

The funding period for this grant is July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023. The project, program or services must take place during that same time period (July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023).
