Grants of up to $2,500 to Pennsylvania nonprofit organizations to support projects and services that benefit local children in eligible locations. Funding is intended for programs serving children with developmental delays and disabilities. Initiatives must take place in and benefit children who reside in Lancaster County.

Term of Contract:

The funding period for this grant is July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022. The project, program, or services must take place during that same time period (July 1, 2021 to June 30, 2022).

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

The S. June Smith Foundation awards mini-grants to non-profit organizations that provide services for children with developmental disabilities and delays. The applicant organization must be a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, as determined by the IRS.

The funds from this grant cannot be used for specifically religious purposes, such as religious instruction and proselytizing.

Pre-Application Information:

- The completed grant application and accompanying materials are due Friday, June 4, 2021, by 4:00 P.M.
- All applicants will be notified of the S. June Smith Foundation’s award decisions by June 23, 2021.
- Funds will be disbursed to successful applicants in July 2021, unless otherwise arranged.

Applications are typically available in March of each year. Then the Board of Directors reviews the applications received and selects recipients. Grant recipients are typically notified in July of the same year that the application is submitted.
