Junior League of Palo Alto-Mid Peninsula (JLPAMP)
Grants ranging from $5,000 to $30,000 to California nonprofit organizations to address critical community needs in the Peninsula communities. Funding is intended to support new programs, volunteer training, general operating funds, and capital expenditures.
Programs requesting funding must align with the JLPA•MP’s mission and focus area.
Mission: The Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers.
Focus Area: The JLPA•MP is empowering girls to be the STEAM leaders of tomorrow through strategic grant-making, coalition building and by partnering with local and national nonprofits on projects for direct service, capacity building and advocacy.

Eligible applicants must have tax-exempt status under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. They must also utilize volunteers or be in the process of developing a volunteer program. Programs requesting funding must address vital community needs in the League's geographical service area.
Service Area: The Junior League of Palo Alto•Mid Peninsula, Inc. serves the Peninsula communities of Atherton, Belmont, East Palo Alto, Foster City, Los Altos, Los Altos Hills, Menlo Park, Mountain View, Palo Alto, Portola Valley, Redwood City, San Carlos, Stanford, Sunnyvale and Woodside.
Grants are typically reviewed once a year, culminating with grants awarded in May. The Foundation is currently accepting grant applications for the 2017-2018 grant cycle, with a deadline of January 31, 2018.
Nonprofit programs that don’t provide direct STEAM-related services should make sure to include in the application an explanation of how their program connects or enhances girls’ ability to enter STEAM professional fields.
