Grants to Hood River County, Oregon nonprofits, for-profits, and individuals for activities that preserve and strengthen local cultural expression. Funding may be used for events and exhibits featuring arts, humanities, and heritage, as well as for ways to increase public access to and public participation in those events and exhibits in our communities.

Priorities and Overall Strategy:

Priority 1 : To promote multicultural understanding, interchange, and appreciation in Hood River County by offering grants to both individuals and organizations.

Priority 2 : Support facilities used for cultural performances and exhibits.

Priority 3 : Increase visibility of cultural expression throughout the county.

Priority 4 : Increase potential access to cultural activities by coordinating the advertising, scheduling and admission to events/activities.

Estimated Size of Grant:

The largest grant awarded to date is $2,500, but there is no upper or lower limit on how much applicants may request.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

- Only projects that directly relate to and benefit Hood River County will be considered.
- Individuals, nonprofit organizations, and for-profit organizations may apply.

Pre-Application Information:

Please submit your completed application, plus 5 copies, postmarked on/or before December 1, 2017.

Checks will be awarded for selected projects by January 2018.

Applicants are encouraged to include other funding sources for the project within the budget to strengthen the proposal.
