A grant of $85,000 is available to a Wisconsin non-profit that is actively engaged in preserving and enhancing the state's natural resources and particularly its endangered species. The grantee will encourage physical and financial support from private organizations for management and restoration of the state's endangered wild animals, wild plants and natural communities.
The grantee shall do all of the following:
* Encourage private corporations and other private entities to undertake activities, including the contribution of money, that encourage management and restoration of the state's endangered wild animals, wild plants and natural communities.
* Encourage private corporations and other private entities to engage in land management practices that protect and preserve natural resources.
* Provide grants to nonprofits and other groups to encourage education, restoration and management activities to enhance the state's natural resources.
Capacity grant funds may not support lobbying activity.
