Foundation / Corporation
First 5 Yuba County
Grants ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 to Yuba County, California private organizations, public agencies, and individuals for projects that will improve the lives of expectant mothers or children ages 0 through 5 and their families. Applicants must contact the Funding Source before applying to participate in a mandatory application review meeting.
A clear goal for First 5 Yuba is for children in Yuba County to be socially, emotionally, physically and intellectually ready for school. The grants will be for short-term community-based projects. All projects must include a measurable outcome that aligns with First 5 Yuba’s strategic plan goals.
Examples of ways the grants can be used include conducting neighborhood support groups for parents of young children, building enrichment activities for toddlers, creating a community partnership to make the community safer for children, or simply purchasing materials that will encourage parents to increase the amount of time they read, play or interact with their baby.
