Grants of up to $500 will be awarded in San Antonio, Texas to educators that are employees of the funding source to enhance the academic learning and success of students. Examples of eligible requests include: new equipment to make the delivery of information more engaging; hands-on learning tools that can create more involved students; or books on the bus to encourage reading.

Requests may also be: to create a safe counseling space for students to decompress before heading back to class to improve a student’s readiness to learn; purchase Scrabble boards to start a new club; use bike helmets to create safe outdoor spaces; purchase USB drives for a new computer club; buy new interactive software to engage students or a new learning app for classrooms with iPad devices.

Educators that are SAISD- San Antonio Independent School District employees.

Individuals are only permitted to submit ONE grant application per mini-grant cycle.

Pre-Application Information:

Funds will be awarded by surprise campus deliveries the week of December 2-6, 2013.

All items purchased with Mini-Grant awards become the property of SAISD.
