Grants to Pennsylvania organizations for projects to support fisheries, improve water quality, aquatic habitats, and recreational access in the watersheds in Berks and Lebanon Counties. Funding is available for stream restoration, recreational enhancement, and habitat enhancement, and activities on streams located in the Tulpehocken and Quittapahilla Creek watersheds.

In 2019, the PFBC will give priority to projects that directly improve aquatic habitats for fisheries and aquatic life. Projects may include, but are not limited to: instream habitat enhancements, riparian buffers and wetland restoration/protection. Other projects designed to enhance water quality, recreational use or access will be accepted but will be given lower priority. Examples of such projects include, but are not limited to: fish stocking, fishing access, maintenance or creation of facilities to encourage, improve or expand recreational use of the fishery, or studies related to these topics.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible organizations include angling or hunting organizations, watershed organizations, conservation districts, governments, and other organizations.

Pre-Application Information:

Applications must be received at the PFBC headquarters later than 4:00 PM, Friday, Oct. 18, 2019.

Successful grant recipients are expected to be notified by mid-December.

Project sites will be subject to visits by PFBC staff.

Applicants may submit multiple applications.
