Grants averaging between $5,000 and $10,000 to Sarasota County, Florida non-profit organizations that provide financial assistance to deserving, gifted, and needy individuals (without regard to race, creed, nationality, color, or sex) to help them either: (a) attend schools, colleges, universities, or other educational institutions in the state of Florida, or (b) to enable them to engage in scientific or medical research in the state of Florida.
In view of the Grantor's lifelong interest in music and the fine arts, it is the Grantor's request that the Trustee give particular attention to the requirements of the various cultural organizations of Sarasota County, including the West Coast Symphony Orchestra and its scholarship trust fund, if the applicant is seriously interested in pursuing a musical career.
