Scholarships of up to 4,500 shekels to Israel students and immigrants for tuition costs at Israel academic institutions. Funding is intended for scholarships that are based on financial need. Eligible applicants are Israeli citizens who are students of Southern African descent and immigrants from New Zealand and Australia. "Southern Africa" refers to the geographic regions of Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland, and Zimbabwe (previously Rhodesia). Those who meet the scholarship criteria and volunteer for PRAS volunteering scholarship will be given preference.
Only students of Southern African heritage (1st and 2nd generations only) and are invited to apply.

Applications for the 2023/2024 academic year will close on October 8, 2023, at 9 am.
Should you be found eligible to receive Telfed’s financial need-based scholarship, attendance in an annual scholarship ceremony which will take place in March 2024 is mandatory.
