Grants to Missouri nonprofits, schools, and government agencies in eligible counties for health and wellness programs that benefit local residents. Applicants must submit a concept paper prior to applying. Funding is intended to support programs that address health needs in Stone and Taney counties. Programs that are collaborative in nature and address a top identified health need are of high priority.

Identified health needs include:

  • Access to care
  • Child and family safety
  • Dental care
  • Mental health
  • Healthy lifestyles
  • Substance abuse

Estimated Size of Grant:

The award floor is $5,001 and there is no award ceiling.

Term of Contract:

Requests can be made for up to a three year period although funding is committed for one year at a time.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Any non-profit charity, school, or government organization may apply for a grant.

Eligibility requirements:
- Program must be health and wellness-focused
- Serve Stone and/or Taney County residents
- Eligible applicants must have a 501c3 status, or be a school or government agency
- Small agencies, organizations without a 501c3 designation, or a coalition may apply with a fiscal agent

Pre-Application Information:

Concept papers received by 5 p.m. April 24 will be reviewed and qualified applicants will be invited to submit a full application due July 31, 2020.

A “Request for Applications” with detailed instructions will be released in June 2020.

Timeline:
- April 24, 2020: Concept paper deadline is 5 p.m.
- Late May 2020: Notification of concept paper outcome
- July 31, 2020: Full application deadline (if invited to submit a full application)
- Mid September 2020: Notification to applicants of funding decisions
- October/November 2020: Public announcement of awards and first distribution of funds
