Grants to Missouri nonprofit organizations, agencies, and schools for health and wellness programs benefiting local residents in eligible locations. Applicants must submit a concept paper prior to submitting a full application. Funding is intended for programs serving residents of Stone and/or Taney County.

The Priority Health Needs Grant program invests in collaborative outcome-based approaches designed to address an identified community health need as defined through local assessments and based on pertinent data. The Priority Health Needs Grant program is an opportunity for agencies to propose solutions they believe can have measureable impact on their community’s health in a defined period of time. 

 Priority will be given to programs that are collaborative and address a top identified health need. These include: 

  • Access to care
  • Child and family safety
  • Dental care
  • Mental health
  • Healthy lifestyle
  • Substance abuse

Estimated Size of Grant:

$5,000 or more.

Term of Contract:

Priority Health Needs grants are one to three-year grants. The grant year runs Dec. 1 through Nov. 30 of the following year.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

Eligible applicants must be non-profit with current proof of 501(c)3 status, a school or a governmental agency. Small agencies, organizations without a 501c3 designation, or a coalition may apply with a fiscal agent

Pre-Application Information:

2021 Application Schedule:
- Late January 2021: Begin accepting Concept Papers for Priority Health Needs
- April 30, 2021: Concept Papers for Priority Health Needs Grant Applications due by 5 p.m.
- Late May 2021: Agencies with Concept Papers will be notified of invitation to submit full application OR denial
- June 2, 2021: Interview for agencies applying for full application
- July 30, 2021: Full Applications due by 5 p.m.from agencies applying for Priority Health Needs grants
- Mid September 2021: Agencies notified of final decisions
- October/November 2021: Awards Ceremony
- November 15, 2021: First Disbursement of funds

Priority Health Needs Grants are solicited through a two-step competitive process. The first step in the two-step process will be available to complete online in early February
