Grants starting at $10,000 to local Wisconsin non-profit organizations that are working to improve and enrich the lives of women and girls living in Waukesha County. These grants are intended to support high-quality projects and programs that promote the welfare, independence, and self sufficiency of women and girls of all ages.

Areas of interest include leadership, education, job training, housing assistance, transportation, overcoming substance abuse, mental health restoration, financial literacy, physical health and safety, and strengthening families.

Term of Contract:

The Fund does not make multi-year pledges.

Additional Eligibility Criteria:

All 501(c)3 organizations providing significant programs to benefit women and girls in Waukesha County are eligible. The Fund highly encourages programs/projects that demonstrate collaboration and creating efficiencies between agencies working to achieve similar goals.

The Women and Girls Fund invests in one program or project per agency, per year.

The Fund will not support event sponsorships. Grants will be declined for programs outside of an organization's core mission. Grants will not be made to individuals, or for religious, government or political purposes. Proposals that do not include all required documentation will not be considered.

Please Note: Grantees receiving competitive grants in a given year are ineligible to apply for a grant the following year. Therefore, those organizations receiving grants in 2014 will not be able to apply for funding again until 2016.
