Grants to Iowa nonprofit organizations and agencies for projects to enhance the quality of life in the local community in eligible locations. Funding is intended for initiatives that have a positive impact on the city, such as capital improvements, equipment purchases, and operating expenses for special projects. Proposals should have a positive and lasting effect on the Cedar Falls area and should have broad community support.
Community Betterment Grants are distributed to local, not-for-profit or government agencies for the projects that contribute to the betterment or positive image of the city. Fundable projects could include special equipment purchases as well as capital improvements, including new construction, renovation, restoration, and installation of fixtures. Operating expenses for special projects may also be considered.
Organizations and/or projects will be funded for one year. Successful applicants are not guaranteed future funding.
