Grants of up to $1,500 will be awarded in Indianapolis, Indiana to individuals, informal groups, and for-profit and non-profit organizations to financially support projects that will improve the overall look of Near North communities. Applications must be project-specific, with a specific location and plan for that location identified.
Eligible projects include:
- Creation of new parks/green spaces
- Upgrades or improvements to existing parks/green spaces
- Reforestation, gardens, orchards
- Street tree planting
- Public art
- Maintenance of existing parks/green spaces
- Neighborhood clean-ups
- Signage or banners
- Improvements to individual private properties
